Kiore Trap

Kia ora yesterday we were making Mahanga Kiore (Rat Traps) Here is the photo of me and my buddy.  Materials we used: Scissors, Tape, Popsicle sticks, Cardboard, Rubber Bands and Newspaper.
                                                                                                           
The way that our trap works is that it goes down on a slope like this \ and then the kiore (rat) walks across a stick and grabs the bait, and the stick isn't strong enough to hold the kiore! So it falls all the way to the bottom of the pit.
